Our Mission

The mission of Trinity Lutheran Preschool is to be a blessing to help children grow in spirit and mind and body.

Children grow in spirit by knowing that the Triune God loves them and that God is graceful toward them through Christ.  We strive to love and nurture children as God calls us to do.  We help children understand that God wants each of us to love and do good works, especially as a response to what He has done for us.  We teach children to accept responsibility.  We teach them to graciously give and receive forgiveness as key parts of their spiritual growth.

We strive to provide a creative learning environment to help children grow in knowledge.  Hands-on, experiential learning is our primary approach to development of the mind.  To foster learning and build relationships, we take field trips and invite visits from parents who share their vocations and hobbies. As children learn about their social environment, we help them to grow in what we call “Christ esteem."  As they gain knowledge about how the world works, we want them to know that God has created and blessed us all and that He wants each of us to be a blessing.

Preschool children grow physically at a rapid rate. We help children develop their coordination and strength through play. Indoor and outdoor play is a regular part of most days at Trinity Lutheran Preschool. Families are encouraged to bring in healthy snacks for children. And we reinforce basic healthy behaviors like hand washing and cleaning up after play. We help children learn about God’s creation as they discover we are “wonderfully made.”
